R Summer Workshop on Data Wrangling and Standard Errors

Today I gave a workshop on common data manipulation tasks in R. I was fortunate to have a great audience of graduate students from the department.

The main goal of the workshop was to introduce participants to ways of thinking about data manipulation. I made heavy use of the tidyverse. In addition, I walked through several replications of published research to show how basic manipulation can be when doing research.

The workshop was the first time I have given a virtual seminar, and I suspect I learned more today about how to teach in a virtual environment than participants learned about data manipulation.
